Despite the fact the workplace diversity provide tremendous benefits in terms of improved morale, outside-the-box thinking, greater teamwork, and an atmosphere of mutual understanding and respect among employee in the organization, there has been a trend under which organizational management ignore employees’ commitment and diversity issues which costs time, money and efficiency because stimulating diverse workforce to work as a team has been ineffective in terms of handling many dimensions, policy making, training, exposure and approach to specific and overall goals. The study examined the impact of workforce diversity on employee’s attitude in selected banks in Ilorin metropolis. Survey research method was adopted where primary source of data collection was used to collect data from 254 selected respondents across the six banks used for the study. 254 questionnaires was administered to the respondents, while 241 was recovered and used for the study. Multiple Regression analysis was employed in analyzing data collected. The study revealed that age diversity, gender diversity and educational diversity has significant effect and impact on employee’s job satisfaction and commitment. The study also revealed that ethnicity diversity does not have significant impact on employee’s job satisfaction. The study concluded that workforce diversity is a way of achieving dynamics organisational practices whereby difference individual from different background irrespective of their age, gender, education and ethnic brings their ideas and knowledge together in the case if problem solving in the organisation. Finally, the study recommends that management of the banks should promote unity in the organisation by providing fair and equal treatment to every employees based on their level in the organisation, as this will make the employees to be more committed and satisfied in working for the organisation.
