Abstract : The study was carried out to determine the impact of insurgency on business education curriculum implementation and students learning experiences in colleges of education in North East,Nigeria. The study stated four specific purposes, to determine the impact of insurgency on business education curriculum implementationand students learning experiences from which four research questions were raised and answered and four null hypotheses formulated and tested. The study adopted descriptive research survey design. The population of study consisted of 124 lecturers and 5332 students of business education. From the population of study, the samples were drawn using purposive sampling technique to select six colleges of education and simple random sampling technique wereused to select the sampled students and a sample size of 372 students was obtained using Taro Yamani formula. A 71-item structured questionnaire was developed by the researcher titled: Questionnaire on Impact of Insurgency on Business Education Curriculum Implementation and Students Learning Experiences (QIIBECISLE) incolleges of education in North-East. The questionnaire was used to gather data from lecturers and students. The questionnaire was constructed on the basis of research questions on a four point rating scale. A pilot test of the instrument was conducted at Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, Kano State with 20 lecturers and 20 students. Cronbach Alpha method was used for the purpose of establishing the reliability of the instrument; the result yielded a reliability coefficient of .937. Research questions were analyzed using mean and standard deviation, while the hypotheses were tested usingsample independent t-test analysis at 0.05 level of significance. The results of the study revealed that insurgency activities have negative impact on assessment of teaching processes, business education content delivery, students’ academic calendar and students learning experiences. The study recommended among others thatgovernment should forestall attacks on schools which claim lives of pupils and their teachers alike, which are all obstacles to assessment of teaching processes in business education., for effective business education content delivery and to ensureconducive environment for teaching/learning that will ensure good interactions between the learner and the external conditions in the environment where they learn. TheNational Orientation Agency should put in place a national re-orientation programme through which they can regularly interact with the idling Nigerian youths’; use inspirational leaders from across the world to calm the raging nerves of the youths and gradually identify what else the youths can do to earn a living and channel them there.
