Abstract	:	Despite an emerging global pandemic, the Trump administration has not relented in its efforts of imposing economic sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran. This thesis takes a look at who bears the greatest burden of these sanctions: The Iranian government, or its citizens. The history of the country is also examined, with particular attention paid to the record of foreign interference in the Iranian nation’s domestic affairs.
