Abstract	:	The digital revolution has added a new way of humankind's communication methods by creating significant changes in social life. This new communication platform that changes the world and also rapidly keeps up with the changing world is called as "Social Media". This platform, where virtuality dominates reality, has forced all systems, from politics to economy, commerce to education, to change by moving them to its own environment. At this point, new generation mothers who want to be included in digitalized communication networks have created a new existence for themselves by transforming motherhood into the fabric of digital world. This study focuses on child rights violation and abuse in social media. In this context, the definition and types of child abuse and neglect, and legal regulations on child rights in the world and in Turkey, and psychological dimensions of social media posts have been discussed; how child rights violations and abuse occurs on social media and the relationship between pedophilia and social media have been emphasized. A general evaluation has been made by examining the findings and the precautions to be taken in order to prevent child rights violations and abuse in social media have been listed.
