Abstract	:	Al-Hayṣam b. Jābir Abū Bayhas (d. 94/713), of the Banū Saʿd b. Ḍubayʿa, was a Khārijī figure in Iraq and Arabia at the end of the first Islamic century and eponymous founder of a key Khārijī sect. He is not to be confused with the Ḥanẓala b.
