Abstract	:	Abū l-Futūḥ al-Rāzī (fl. sixth/twelfth century) was a Shīʿī author and preacher, most famous for his Persian commentary on the Qurʾān, entitled Rawḍ al-jinān wa-rawḥ (or rūḥ ) al-janān . He was supposedly descended from the Khuzāʿa tribe, a contingent of which settled in Nīsābūr (Nīshāpūr). Some of the Khuzāʿa are said to have relocated to Rayy, where Abū l-Futūḥ lived. Hence his full name is often given as Abū l-Futūḥ al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī b. Muḥammad b. Aḥmad al-Khuzāʿī al-Rāzī al-
