Abstract	:	Abū ʿAmr al-Shaybānī , Isḥāq b. Mirār (d. 206/821, or 210/825, or 213/828, or 216/831), was a famous transmitter of poetry and lexicographer of the Kufan school in the second/eighth century. Abū ʿAmr was born in Kufa sometime in the first quarter of the second/eighth century.
