Abstract	:	Abū Ḥātim Muḥammad b. Idrīs b. al-Mundhir b. Dāwūd b. Mihrān al-Rāzī al-Ḥanẓalī (al-Jazzī al-Ghaṭafānī) (195-Shaʿbān 277/810 or 811–890, in Rayy) was an Iranian ḥadīth scholar; his epithet “al-Ḥanẓalī” is said to have come from one of his ancestors—a mawlā of the Banū Tamīm b.
