Abstract	:	Aganafat is the purported author of a Latin text with the title Thesaurus philosophorum , containing instruction in the art of disputation and rules for opponents and respondents. The text (ed. de Rijk, 108–58) is preserved in two Latin manuscripts, one of which was copied around 1300, as well as in a later redaction, preserved in Prague, which dates from the fifteenth century and contains many interpolations (ibid., 159–92). As Aganafat is said to have originated from Egypt (de nobili ac regia civitate Egipti) the text may have been
