Abstract	:	Aḥmad b. ʿUmar (or Muḥammad) al-Karābīsī (fl. fourth/tenth century) is credited with several Arabic treatises on mathematical topics. We know nothing about his life except that the bio-bibliographer al-Nadīm (d. c.385/995), in his K. al-Fihrist , an “index” of Arabic books completed c.377/987–8, mentions him among several commentators on Euclid’s Elements active during the fourth/tenth century.
