Abstract : Abū Isḥāq Ibrāhīm b. ʿAlī b. Tamīm al-Anṣārī al-Ḥuṣrī (d. 413/1022) was an anthologist, poet, and man of letters from North Africa, known mainly for his anthology Zahr al-ādāb wa-thamar al-albāb (“Flowers of literary accomplishments and fruits of intellect”). The date and the place of his birth have not been transmitted. The main source that provides isolated details about his life and was therefore extensively used by later authors is Unmūdhaj al-zamān fī shuʿarāʾ al-Qayrawān by Ibn Rashīq al-Qayrawānī (d. 463/
