Abstract : The Anjuman-i Khuddām al-Ṣūfiyya (“Association of Ṣūfī Servants”) was a new form of Ṣūfī voluntary association founded in Lahore, in British colonial India, in 1904. Under the leadership of the Naqshbandī-Mujaddidī shaykh Jamāʿat ʿAlī Shāh (d. 1951), the Anjuman became one of the most influential Ṣūfī organisations in late colonial and early Pakistani Panjāb, gaining a large following amongst both urban and rural Muslims (the Naqshbandiyya, whose eponymous founder, Bahāʾ al-Dīn Naqshband, d. 791/1389, is now widespread; its Mujaddidī current was initiated in India, by
