Abstract	:	ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī b. Aḥmad al-Ḥanafī (al-) Bisṭāmī (d. 858/1454) was a scholar of occultism and a Ṣūfī mystic. Born in Antioch (modern Antakya), he owes his name to his association across the time (that is in the Uwyasī way), the renowned Iranian Ṣūfī Abū Yazīd al-Bisṭāmī (d. 262/875), who initiated him into Ṣūfism.
