Abstract	:	Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev (Ghiyāth al-Dīn Kaykhusraw) I (r. 588–92/1192–6 and 601–7/1205–11) was a Saljūq sultan of Rum (Rūm, Asia Minor). He was the youngest of the eleven sons of Kılıç Arslan (Qiliç Arslān) II (r. 550–81/1155–92), and his mother was of Byzantine origin, but his date of birth is unknown. When Kılıç Arslan II divided his territory among his sons, Keyhüsrev received Sozopolis (today’s Uluborlu) and the region of Kütahya, in western Anatolia, as his share. As a prince (malik) ,
