Abstract : The Lodīs (r. 855–932/1451–1526) were the most prolific builders of architecture during the Delhi Sultanate but are largely unappreciated. Scattered across southern Delhi, from the Lodī Gardens to Mehrauli, are many Lodī-period tombs and mosques built for royalty, the nobility, and saints. Many more existed in the past (List of Muhammadan and Hindu monuments) . Although the Lodīs shifted their capital to Agra at the turn of the century, there are no Lodī buildings.
