Abstract	:	ʿAbd al-Malik b. Qaṭan al-Fihrī (d. 123/741) was a governor (wālī) of al-Andalus, during whose rule the Syrian jund s (troops) of Balj b. Bishr (124/742) entered the Iberian peninsula.
