A survey in the El Gouna area, Red Sea, Egypt, disclosed the presence of Acheulean, early Middle Palaeolithic, late Middle Palaeolithic and Middle Holocene sites. One of the Middle Holocene sites is a “Steinplatz”” with Predynastic lithic material.
