Abstract	:	Empirical biographical research gives insights into the diversity of life designs and the individual’s faith patterns. In this article two studies are introduced in order to show the following: Firstly different investigations of women’s religiosity depending on their age and connection to church. Secondly the depiction of methodological slightly different ways of biographical research aiming at the investigation of religiosity. The results indicate a variety of connections between biographical and faith patterns. In contradiction to the assumption that narratives are most relevant in autobiographies, it was brought out, that descriptions and argumentative passages can give valuable information on the individual’s positioning in behalf of religion.
