Abstract	:	This review offers a quite positive appraisal of the book by Lee Roy Martin. In terms of both perspective and substance, the book is a model for faithful scripture interpretation. Martin works from a perspective that moves quickly through critical matters to theological disclosure, a move congruent with his Pentecostal locus. In terms of substance his textual analysis exposits a God who is powerfully in tension between sovereign requirement and gracious attentiveness.
