Abstract	:	The purpose of this dissertation is to develop a curriculum on Christian statesmanship for a post-9/11 world that will enable students to develop both an understanding of current history along with the skills and capabilities to become the "history makers" of the future. The curriculum will focus on understanding more recent international themes, including an historical overview of the Middle East, discerning the post-Cold War era, and analyzing U.S. foreign policy in the post-9/11 era. With regard to developing skills and capabilities of statesmanship, the curriculum will help the student by developing critical thinking skills, participatory and collaboration skills to the process of applying biblical wisdom, and solutions to the international issues covered in class. Literature has suggested a current deficiency in understanding civics and history among young people has resulted in many calling for new curriculum that is relevant to the challenges of a post-9/11 era. The design and methodology of the curriculum will not only focus on the development of the student's understanding of current history but will also focus on the tools that can be used to aid the development of statesmanship skills and capabilities. The curriculum is presented with all the necessary materials to attain the objectives and capabilities, namely the lesson plans, lesson notes, and, where necessary, the lesson assessments. The dissertation concludes by addressing other international issues that could be developed into lessons for their inclusion in the curriculum at a later time.
