Abstract

In this study, we considered the study of heat generation of forced convective flow through a channel with permeable walls with suction/injection under the combined action of heat generation was carried out to determine the effect of magnetic eld on variable viscosity. The governing equations for velocity and temperature were reduced to a Non-dimensional equation with the aid of some similarity transformations resulting into a set of coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equation, the model equation of momentum and energy balance were solved numerically using the collocation method to develop expression for velocity and temperature prole and the result are compared with those obtained by mathematical software. The effect of different parameter such as Hartman number (Ha), Prandtl number (Pr), Biot number lower plate (Bi0), Biot number upper plate (Bi1), viscosity parameter (ϵ), Reynold number (Re), Eckert number (Ec) and Heat Generation (Q) are discussed graphically. Finally, an increase in these parameters (Q),(Pr),(Bi0),(Re),(ϵ),(Ec) increases the velocity prole, while an increase in (Ha) and (Bi1) decreases the velocity prole. An increment in (Ec),(ϵ),(Q),(Pr),(Bi0),(Re) also increases the temperature prole, while increase in (Ha) and (Bi1) decreases the temperature profile.
