Abstract	:	This thesis is a desk study of English speaking scholarship and examines the four factors that have been contributing to looting in Egypt since the 2011 Arab Spring and subsequent Egyptian Revolution. These factors are political instability, economic recession, the art market, and the relationship between Egyptians and Pharaonic heritage. In relation to this, this thesis specifically considers how English speaking academia discusses looting in Egypt?
