Abstract

Network security is an activity which is designed to protect the integrity and usability of the data and network. In network security, the branch of cryptography in which one can save and transmit data in a format particularly, so that only the intended user can read and process it. The text encrypted is called the cipher text which is then decoded at the receiver side to produce back the original plain text. The algorithm of the conventional Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a symmetric cryptography technique, which is working on only one private key for both encryption and decryption of data (security lags) i.e. private key scheme. The proposed model takes two private keys in AES, instead of sending just one private key directly, the proposed method send two private keys to the receiver for the decryption of the two ciphertext produced back to original plain text. At the same time there is problem of the speed, so that in the proposed AES encryption/decryption the residue number system has been used to enhance the speed of proposed AES encryption/ decryption. Hence the proposed method has help improves on the issue of less security/speed in the conventional AES. The encryption and decryption speeds of conventional AES and AES with multiple keys have been improved through the use of residue number system, and the security strength of conventional AES has also been improved on through the use of multiple private keys (AES with multiple private keys) furthermore, the issue of low speed in AES with multiple private keys have been achieved through the use of RNS. The results have proved the effectiveness of the improved AES on text data. Therefore, the conventional AES is slightly faster than the implemented algorithm but yet the performance speed of the proposed algorithm can still be further improved. In conclusion, there exist a securely and efficient AES encryption techniques.
