Abstract	:	The purpose of this qualitative research study with a narrative inquiry design was to acquire the insights of 15 African-American Baptist clergywomen and each of their particular journeys to overcoming barriers that led to their success in attaining senior pastoral leadership positions. In particular, there was a specific exploration of education, mentorship, training, assumptions, and barriers that were instrumental in their perspective success.
