Abstract:The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between African women's empowerment and education. A correlational study was conducted using data collected from 149 women participants in Ethiopia. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software program was used to analyze the association of dependent variables and independent variables. All four hypotheses that predicted a relationship between women's education and the indicator variables were supported. Correlation coefficients were at the .05 level of confidence. Results of the study supported that Ethiopian women's education is directly related to their socioeconomic level, health, use of contraceptives, and their involvement in the decision-making process. This case study is taken as an indicator of the importance of education for the empowerment of African women.
