Abstract	:	This study attempts an accurate rendering of the dramatic events of Israel's high-spirited Omride Dynasty. The House of Omri emerged from the rubble of a long civil war many years after the breakup of the united monarchy. This dynasty became the most powerful in Israel's history, viewed as the apex of Israel's might and prominence in the Near East. Israel magnified its wealth, influence, and military strength through the backing of allies, such as Phoenicia and Judah. However, there would be a heavy price to pay for these alliances. Israel would sacrifice the sovereignty and purity of its position as Yahweh's people and open the door to the ultimate destruction of Israel as a nation.
