Abstract | : | This action research deals with the NETA Hebrew language program and language learning disabled students' ability to answer inference and recall questions. The study was conducted in Orthodox and Conservative Jewish day schools in the New York Metropolitan area. Sixty seven students ranging from sixth through twelfth grades participated in this study; Thirty eight students with language learning disabilities and twenty nine students were part of the control group. The study consisted of a quantitative study in which students participated in the Hebrew Inventory Test (HIT) and a qualitative study in which the researcher followed within the scope of the classroom students with language learning disabilities. According to the study students with language learning disabilities have great trouble in answering recall and inference questions. The results of the study allow foreign language teachers and researchers information on how to teach students with language learning disabilities a foreign language. |
