It was revealed after the attacks that these devastating events might have been prevented with better coordination and information sharing between the intelligence agencies. The suicide bombings in Istanbul in November 2003 were the deadliest terrorist attacks in the history of the Republic of Turkey. They were the first reflection of global terrorism on the country. In this thesis project, content analysis of the articles of the best selling newspapers and magazines was conducted to provide an impartial point of view regarding the level of coordination and intelligence sharing in the Turkish Intelligence Family. In addition, a case study of the suicide bombings in Istanbul revealed how the Turkish National Police cleared the case with an ultimate coordination and information sharing within its units. | Subject | : | Social sciences; Criminology; 0627:Criminology | Added Entry | : | A.
