Abstract:A study was conducted with five Chemical compounds: 2-cianomehyl-1,3-benzothiazol (CNBT), 2-metil-1,3-benzotiazol (MBT), 2-amino-4-(benzotiazol-2-il)-5-(2-cloro-5-nitrofenil)tiazol (tiazol), 2-(1,3-benzotiazol-2-il)-3-(2-cloro-5-nitrofenil)oxirano-2-carbonitrilo (epoxide), 3-(2,4-diclorofenil)-2-(fenil)oxirano-2-carbonotrilo (fenil) (benzotiazoles and oxiranos). In order to test the degree of inhibition of these Chemical compounds on the following species, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus versicolor and Penicillium funiculosum, the compundsa were dissolved in 70% ethanol. Each compound was prepared in a base solution of 1 mg/mL concentration. From this solution three concentrations were prepared (0.1 mg/mL, 0.01 mg/mL, and 0.001 mg/mL). Using the PDA culture method (Potato Dextrose Agar), the species were inoculated in three concentrations. Radial growth of the three species was measured during 5 days. These chemical compounds completely inhibited the growth of these species at the concentration of 0.1 mg/mL. The compounds fenil, tiazol and epóxido provided excellent inhibition during the first 48 hours at concentrations of 0.01 mg/mL and 0.001 mg/mL. At the lower concentration the chemical compound that provided the best inhibition was fenil.
