Abstract	:	The tale of Setne II has a notorious reputation of being a text full of mistakes, misspellings, and careless omissions. It was first transcribed, translated, and published by F. Ll. Griffith in 1900 in the Stories of the High Priests of Memphis. Although much work has been done to analyze the literary aspects of this tale, the grammatical issues have basically been untouched since its first publication. Demotic is a delicate language that requires, above all, precision and accuracy. Griffith was able to provide the exactness of his time; however, much advancement in the knowledge of Demotic grammar has been made since then. This dissertation aims to produce a complete grammatical analysis of this late Demotic tale using the most recent understandings of Demotic grammar. In addition to the grammatical analysis, a new transliteration and translation of the text will be given as a result of the grammatical conclusions.
