Abstract : Quenching Technology is a vital and complex part of many heat treatment processes. The microstructure and many mechanical properties of the material, as well as the residual stresses in the workpiece, largely depend on it. Today, quenching is an interdisciplinary field of science and technology based on wide theoretical knowledge and supported by computer simulation programs. This book presents the most important theoretical and technological aspects of quenching.
