European consultants in information systems, Lemberger and Morel contend that mastering technical and organizational complexity in information technology departments requires two essential steps. The first is to develop a clear understanding of the real nature of complexity within information systems. The second is to identify the primary causes that contribute to the uncontrolled growth of complexity, and organize them into a logical framework.
