Abstract : "This book has been written to guide both oncologists and radiologists in the use of imaging in the management of patients with malignancy. The site specific sections are complemented by introductory chapters outlining the basic principles of the available imaging modalities including plain X-rays, ultrasound, CT, MR, nuclear medicine, and PET. It covers the main tumour sites individually within a defined template reviewing optimal imaging techniques for diagnosis, staging, radiotherapy planning, and follow-up for each site. Each chapter is written jointly by both oncologists and radiologists specializing in a specific area to provide an authoritative view on the role of imaging through these stages of the patient journey. Examples of relevant images are provided throughout. The critical areas of radiation protection, exposure justification, and risk are also comprehensively covered." "This book bridges the gap between detailed imaging texts and general oncology textbooks highlighting the close interaction between the two disciplines in modern oncology management."
