The intervention by armed forces of the United States, Jamaica, Barbados and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States into Grenada on October 25, 1983 is still under discussion as to whether it was justifiable in international law. This book was produced because of the wealth of inaccuracies and misunderstandings which were being treated as concretized facts in arguments pro and con on the intervention. It seeks to clarify the confusion and assist in settling the international controversy for interested parties. The author was able to draw on an invaluable resource base : a collection of documents recovered by the Jamaica Defence Force contingent in Grenada. These were records of the operations of the Revolutionary Military Council of Grenada which presided over the period March 13, 1979 - October 25, 1983 during which the constitutional government was overthrown. - - Introduction.
