This book describes in detail the fundamental anatomic, pathologic and technical principles that are indispensable in the practice of otoneurosurgery, a specialty, requiring close cooperation between the otologist and the neurosurgeon. As well as the conventional anatomic features of the petrous pyramid, the book provides the thorough spatial information about this bone which is essential to the surgeon at the moment of fraising. Surgical techniques are described in detail and richly illustrated. It is evident that the operative techniques described by these surgeons show that they have completely mastered the temporal bone.
