The interpretation of melanocytic tumors represents one of the most important topics and probably the most difficult challenge in the field of dermatopathology. This text and atlas depicts a broad range of the most important or challenging melanocytic lesions. It illustrates in detail melanocytic neoplasms of diagnostic interest encountered in daily practice. It presents a philosophy of diagnosis that differs from those found in existing texts.
