Abstract
:
The International Symposium on Brain Resuscitation was held in Yamaguchi, Japan in October 1988. The most recent re- search being carried out on brainresuscitation in major centers in Japan, Europe, and the United States and pre- sented at that symposium, is included in this comprehensive survey. This research constitutes the latest advances and investigations in the areas of both medicine and surgery while describing the meticulous and painstaking efforts being made to find the optimal means of restoring life - meaningful life - to the brain-damaged patient.
