"Computer Theology compares the evolution of human societies and computer networks to arrive at a theological model of the World Wide Web. Following the pioneering works of Anne Foerst in God in the Machine and Donald Knuth in Things a Computer Scientist Rarely Talks About, the authors present a broad overview of human and computer evolutionary traits that point to similarities in the aggregation of social behaviors. In order to reach a wide audience not necessarily trained or familiar with computer science or other fields, Computer Theology strives to use terms accessible to the public at large, barring acronyms and words that, while perhaps conveying concisely their intent, impede reading by non specialists.
