Abstract	:	This piece is a memoir detailing my experience as an ethnic, cultural, racial, and religious minority in my husband's biological home, Nouakchott, Mauritania. The main story takes place over a three week period during which my family and I travel to Nouakchott to visit. My narrative will focuses upon my personal experience as a Western immersed in another culture.
