Abstract : <i>Unremembered Soundscapes</i>, is focused on the development of advanced techniques in composition and sound design applied to traditional Iranian musical material, soundscapes and sound objects. I am curious to see if a new musical language can be created that transforms ancient musical materials through the use of current Western performance practice and digital technologies. This is explored in the context of a large multi-movement work for violin, bass clarinet and piano, along with live and prerecorded electroacoustic music.
