Abstract	:	A central debate contested in the Islamic scholarly tradition is the use of the two forms of knowledge available to mankind: reason and revelation. This central debate became the intellectual and spiritual pursuit of Abu Hamid al-Ghazālī (1058-1111), one of Islam’s most celebrated scholars. This thesis examines al-Ghazālī aim to revive the religious sciences through an integration of reason and revelation.
