Abstract : This paper attempts to shed light on foreign aid giving within the Middle East and the political motivation behind these acts of foreign aid. The paper will look at five Middle Eastern countries (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Iran) and examines who they give foreign aid too within their region. I have determined that a majority of foreign aid is given based on sectarian divides within the Muslim culture.
