Abstract
:
"The Enemy in Contemporary Film analyses the (de- ) and (re)constructions of enemy images in international film since the 1970s. Contexts and conceptions range from military conflict to dictatorship, collaboration, the war on drugs and ethno-cultural groups as 'enemy'. In particular, the essays collected in this volume concentrate on the impact which filmically mediated images of the 'enemy' have had on national cultural memories"--
