This volume presents methods for integrating clinical theories and practice with diverse clients. The authors address assessment within a theoretical framework that considers the use of DSM-V and the mental status exam. Diverse case studies, drawn from practice experience, are integrated throughout and show how theory is applied to work with individuals, families, groups, and children and adolescents. They include a walk through of a clinical interview and the stages of treatment; and examine models of treatment. Each chapter also includes learning activities, role-plays, and assignments that will help readers master the content.
