Abstract	:	This is a proposal to encode the Palmyrene script in the international character encoding standard Unicode. Palmyrene was published in Unicode Standard version 7.0 in June 2014. The script is attested in inscriptions and documents in the city of Palmyra and other sites in the area of Syria. It dates from 44 BCE to about 280 CE, and was used to write the Palmyrene dialect of West Aramaic.
