Abstract	:	Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is one of the most common disorders in women in the United States. It is characterized by rapid changes in mood and physical symptoms that occur just before menses and that remit soon after. Calcium has been associated with modulating mood for many years now, and the interaction between estrogen and calcium has implicated it as a major factor in causing PMS symptomatology.
