Abstract
:
Essays examine how the economic Asian crisis of 1997 and the continuing rise of China in the region have been the catalyst for integration and the evolution of regionalism in Asia. Analysis is continued on several levels: trade, finance, and security affairs as well as investigation of the trends of co-operation and integration, and the importance of the growing discipline of political science. All lead to a more complete understanding of the theory and practice of the integration processes in Asia.
