Osteoporosis in Older Persons - Pathophysiology and Therapeutic Approach has the most up-to-date information about the pathophysiology and new therapeutic alternatives. Until recently most effort concerning osteoporosis research was directed mainly at the mechanisms of a type of osteoporosis known as post-menopausal osteoporosis. It was only just recently that a new syndrome, osteoporosis in older persons, was recognized as a new entity with its own pathophysiology and potential treatments.
