This book is a comprehensive reference guide to the economically and ecologically important tarpon and bonefish species. It combines an overview of the world tarpon and bonefish fisheries including their dynamics and status, a classical systematics approach to explore relationships between Elopomorpha genera, and modern molecular approaches to investigate intra- and inter-coastal differences in genetic structure throughout the oceans.
