According to the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) there are an estimated 18 million youth soccer participants and a half million coaches in the United States today. Most of these half million coaches of youth soccer are parents, very few of whom played soccer as children. As a result, almost all parent coaches start out not knowing the first thing about coaching their children and others. 101 Soccer Drills is designed to provide a solid foundation for all coaches and/or parents, independent of their experience in youth soccer. Written with simple step-by-step guidance, it prepares the beginning coachand/or inexperienced soccer parent, assists and refreshes experienced coaches, and provides the basic skill building fundamentals as well as advanced techniques needed to compete in youth soccer today.
